Are you using alarm daily to wake up???
Then you will lose your day..
Sleep
We will not fall asleep immediately when we fall on bed. It takes some time for attaining deep sleep. The two main hormones which helps us to attain deep sleep are adenosin and melatonin. Before you wake up, some major things are happening in our body. The hormones which are helping us to wake up are cortisol and dopamine.
Our body prepares us an hour before when we naturally wake up..
Body temperature rises
Sleep becomes lighter
Hormones such as cortisol and dopamine releases
These hormones gives you energy to start your day.
But the alarm interrupts the sleep cycle and cuts the above process. Particularly, if you don't have a regular sleep cycle, you feel tired and groggy. This causes you to lose your day.
This feeling of tiredness is called sleep inertia.
But there is an another thing in alarm called snooze which causes more damage to you. If the alarm rings, the sleep cycle gets interrupted. But when you snooze the alarm, you are going to fall asleep again. This causes your sleep cycle to go in opposite direction. It thus leads to daytime impairment. This is called fragmented sleep.
Hence it's better to set alarm later or go to bed earlier.
So breaking up those 30 minutes, you will feel like more tired and perform very poor.
Solution
Try to adopt a regular sleeping schedule
Wake up every morning at the same time including weekends
After few weeks, your body get adopted to the timings
Then you do not need an alarm everyday.
You Snooze You Lose.
